Message From Reverend Father Mari Arokiam, SSVP Ecclesiastical Assistant From St Vincent De Paul State Council of Selangor Annual Report 2012
Dear friends of the poor,
Shalom & Eastertide greetings to one and all!
To have reached 50 years as the SSVP State Council of Selangor is not only a milestone,
but a moment to REJOICE & CELEBRATE with thanksgiving in our hearts. It must have
been a difficult journey for sure, trying to negotiate every corner to serve faithfully and
reaching this far.
Like a mustard see you have grown from a humble beginning and now have become the
ICON for the rural & urban poor of our time. The LOGO of your society and your deepest
conviction of Faith & Trust in GOD adds on to this jubilation. Being the Year of Faith this
occasion calls all of you as Vincentians to a deeper personal relationship with Christ and
witness this by your words & works for the marginalized & down trodden.
On this most auspicious day, we go down memory lane to remember all our past Vincentians
who were instrumental for the progressive growth of the SSVP in the State of Selangor. It was
their hard work & untiring contributions that has enabled us to be proud of this achievement.
For all those who are still proudly serving as Vincentians we congratulate them and for all those
who have gone before us marked with a sign of hope, may their souls rest in peace.
Lastly, I thank you for giving me this opportunity and I pray that God will bless each of you & your
family abundantly for all your contributions towards the society. Wishing you all a fruitful and
spirit filled AGM that will take this society to a greater height of BROTHERHOOD & UNITY.
May our Blessed Mother together with St. Vincent De Paul & Blessed Frederick Ozanam pray for us.
My Soul Glorifies the Lord
Ad Multos,
