The Event at Coalfields which was held on Saturday the 25th June 2016 at 09.30 am. The session was mooted by one of our volunteer teachers , Ms Ursula and was a joint collaborative effort between the Society, Prison Ministry. The speakers were form our SSVP Home ( Second Chance Community Home ) which is a shelter / rehabilitation home for prison parolees and those who have been imprisoned before. The objective of the session was to bring awareness to Youth and Parents about drug addition and other unhealthy activities.
Bro Ben, an ex–prisoner highlighted his experience in Prison and how he overcome his drug addition and has been rehabilitate. He mention that there are more girls involved in drugs and other immoral activities and they face rejection from parents and friends.
Bro James highlighted a few visuals about drug pushers and convict being caned in prison. It’s a very good eye opener for the youths and parents to instill the fear in them against such unhealthy activities.
