Hard economic times for people has taken its toll on our service for the poor. The Conference of Holy Trinity has not been spared. It is already scraping the bottom of the barrel to continue its assistance to the poor among us especially the residents in the Rumah Ozanam and supporting the students in university and colleges. If not for the sponsorship of the students by corporate organizations and individuals the Home would be in very dire straits.
One of the efforts to raise money for the Conference was holding a coffee morning at the Assumption Church, Petaling Jaya on November 19, 2017. The effort was undertaken after all three Sunday morning masses. It was spearheaded by Bro. Fred Martin, Hon. Secretary of the Conference assisted. Whilst the nasi lemak, sandwiches and mee hoon was prepared by the housemothers and children of the home, curry puffs and donuts were sponsored by the Homes regular caterer.
This effort would not have been possible without the blessings and strong support of the Parish Priest. Total sales amounted to RM4,175
