Golden Jubilee Prayer

Heavenly Father, Lord of Compassion and Mercy, we thank you for the many Blessings you have showered upon us and our Society. We pray that as we celebrate our 50^th Anniversary as Vincentians in Selangor, we would be inspired by the teachings of St Vincent de Paul and Blessed Frederick Ozanam to be instruments of Love, Justice, Charity and Empowerment, especially for those who are Poor and Marginalised.

We also pray Lord, that as Vincentians, we will through our meetings and visitations strengthen our Spirit / and deepen our friendship / and understanding of one another. Lord, we seek and commit to embrace the virtues of Humility, Meekness, Simplicity, Zeal and Mortification as we journey with all through whom we are privileged to encounter You.

Enable us O Lord, to help bring about Social Justice by restoring Basic Human Rights and Dignity of the Person in the Poor and Marginalised and rejected by Society.  Help us to love / and respect them / to understand their needs / and to share their burdens / and joys / as true friends. Grant us Lord, the Grace of meeting you and being enlightened by you in our journey with them just like the Disciples at Emmaus were enlightened by you.

We ask you this Lord, in the Most Holy and Precious Name of Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord and one who reigns forever and ever. Amen.

Mother Mary, Queen of all, pray for us, Vincentians in Selangor that we will remain steadfast in our works of Mercy and Social Justice.
